Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has attended a commemorative ceremony for the victims of the holocaust on his two day visit to Israel.

Borisov and the Bulgarian delegation attended the ceremony in the Yad Vashem memorial in Jerusalem. He also examined the museum exhibition in memory of the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust.

Part of the exhibition is dedicated with gratitude to Tsar Boris III, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the Bulgarian general public who defended the Bulgarian Jews from deportation to death camps during World War II.

Borisov lit the eternal flame and laid a wreath in memory of the fallen before going to meet Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
