Michael Jackson Doctor Charged with Manslaughter

The prosecutors in the death case of pop idol, Michael Jackson, are going to charge his doctor with involuntary manslaughter.

The investigation in the June 25 death is finally concluding and will be sent to the Los Angeles district attorney's office within the next few weeks.

Doctor Conrad Murray faces a grand jury trial and up to four years behind bars if proven guilty.

In order to charge the doctor with the crime, the prosecutor must prove Murray had been negligent in caring for the King of Pop.

Murray’s spokesperson and his lawyers say their client refuses to comment on the charges, but they all deny any wrongdoing in the case.

Michael Jackson died suddenly in his Los Angeles home while rehearsing for an ambitious concert tour. He was under Murray’s care at the time of his death.
