Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency is going to register a total of 1 429 companies from all the country in the category of “Large-scale Taxpayers” based on its criteria.

This has been announced Monday by the NRA press center. The full list of all 1 429 companies is available on the website of the Agency HERE, and has been sealed by Krasimir Stefanov, Director of the NRA.

In order to fall into the category of big taxpayers, the large companies must meet the following criteria: sales income of over BGN 20 M in 2008; at least 120 employees; over BGN 2 M of paid taxes and insurance payments in 2008; over BGN 2 M of refunded taxes in 2008.

The companies meeting these criteria are registered at the “Large Taxpayers and Insurers” Directorate of the National Revenue Agency.

All banks and branches of foreign banks, insurance companies, and social security and retirement firms, and the funds set up by them are also registered at the Large Taxpayers Directorate.

The large-scale taxpayers and insurers will be able to submit their tax and insurance forms and payments at the building of the NRA at 31 Aksakov Str in Sofia, or in the regional officers of the NRA around the country.
