Bulgarian businessman Ivan Mitrov is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot late Wednesday in Sofia.

Mitrov was shot in the ‘Ovcha Kupel’ neighborhood of the Bulgarian capital as he was parking his car in front of block 527.

According to witnesses the shooter, aged between 35-40, argued with Mitrov before pulling the trigger.

Bulgaria Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, confirmed that Mitrov was an ex building contractor but had not worked in the building sector for 4 years. According to initial information Mitrov owns four companies.
