Nikolay Nedev, a member of Bulgaria’s high-profiled kidnappers’ gang which was busted in “The Impudent” special operation some two weeks ago, has made confessions.
Nedev has confessed that he watched some of the kidnapped persons in a special house outside of Sofia, the Trud Daily reported.
He claims he was picked up from a town outside the capital, and was taken to the house in question where he guarded the victims in exchange for a total of EUR 20 000.
Nedev was arrested in the first part of the special operation, when a total of 25 gangsters were busted. Five more were arrested several days later.
Last week, Lyubomir Simeonov, aka The Rower, who is believed to be one of the organizers of the gang, made confessions saying he was not directly involved in the kidnappings but that he carried out smaller tasks such as following the victims and observing their cars and homes. He is also reported to have specified the role of each gangster in the group.
