Five 'Impudent 2' Detainees Will Remain in Custody

Sofia City Court has ruled that five of the men captured in Tuesday’s  "Impudent 2" police operation, are to remain behind bars, pending further investigation.

Brothers Dimitar and Radoslav Lebeshkovski, Kiril Kirilov, Pavel Petkov and Tsvetlozar Slavchev, who are all suspected of involvement in a kidnapping criminal group, may appeal the decision of the Municipal Court before the Court of Appeal.

The court hearing on Wednesday was conducted behind closed doors, because of the introduction of special investigative recordings, the details of which form part of the prosecution case.

Neither prosecuting nor defense lawyers in this case were willing to speak to the press following the hearing.
