Bulgarian authorities have seized property worth more than BGN 3 M of a man, accused of siphoning the state budget during a period of five years.

The new broke after the commission for illegally obtained properties won a case against Mustafa Iliev from the town of Targovishte. This is the highest claim that the regulatory body, known as the Kushlev commission, has won in court.

The seized property includes a cafe at the town of Targovishte, an apartment, three cars and one bus.

The Supreme Cassation Court found Iliev guilty of siphoning more than BGN 1.2 M from the state budget by forging receipts and documents. Mustafa Iliev will also have to cover the court expenses.
