The Bulgarian electronics retail market has shrunk by 20%, according to figures compiled by LG Bulgaria and released on Friday.

This crisis will, however, not affect Bulgarians doing their Christmas shopping, as 40% of them plan to spend at least as much as they did in 2008.

LG Bulgaria enjoyed a 12% increase in sales in that year. The two most profitable sectors - mobile phones and electronic appliances - showed significant growth in market share, reaching 10% and 30% respectively.
