Gangster's Wife, Child Shot in Bulgaria's Varna

The wife and child of a Bulgarian criminal were shot in what appears to be a punitive raid in the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna.

36-year-old wife and 11-year-old son of 40-year-old criminal with initials I.P. known as “Giovanni” were shot Tuesday night before a house in the Vinitsa Quarter in Varna.

Both victims are in the Varna hospital and their lives are out of danger. The two shooters were dressed in dark clothes; they disappeared immediately.

The Varna police and Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the case; the traffic police have set up checkpoints around the city in their search for the attackers.
