Armed Robbers Steal BGN 50 000 from Store in Sofia

Two armed men robbed a store in a large complex in the Lyulin Quarter in the Bulgarian capital Sofia stealing BGN 50 000.

The robbers entered the store, which sells mobile phones and accessories, at 10:30 am, threatened the shop assistant with a gun, took the money from the register, and disappeared with a car.

The police have sealed off the crime scene. This is a second brazen robbery in Sofia in less than 24 hours after unidentified criminals stole BGN 2 M from a retail supermarket in the Studentski Grad Quarter.
