Bulgaria's capital Sofia saw Friday the latest protest against the hike of the bank's interest rates.

The rally was held under the slogan: “Banks Stop! Respect Us!'

The participants are protesting against policies implemented by foreign banks in Bulgaria, which they say hurt ordinary Bulgarians and businesses alike.

The demonstrators want loan interest rates to be reduced by 2% to 3% and a 2-year interest free repayment period .

The march went through downtown Sofia, near the city's major banks and ended in front of the building of the Central Bank (BNB).

The demonstrators further built up a tent camp of 7 tents near the BNB location. The tents are to remain there between December 11 and 17.
