Bulgaria’s Conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party former MP, Mario Tagarinski, has stated that he left the party of his own will and denied his party’s “political kidnap” claims.
In a telephone conversation broadcast live Tagarinski spoke with RZS Deputy Chair Dimitar Abadzhiev and said “You may be a puppet, but I certainly am not.” He added that the claims of the RZS party were very worried about Tagarinski’s life and safety was a “pure joke” and that he would now stop any relations with the party over such “ridiculous comments and actions.”
Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov earlier disproved claims of the RZS leader, Yane Yanev, that former RSZ MP, Mario Tagarinski, had disappeared.
Tagarinski announced Friday he was leaving the RZS parliamentary group. This move led to the group falling apart since it now has 9 members instead of the required minimum of 10. According to the new General Assembly rules, the 9 RZS MPs can not join another group and will now function as independent MPs.
