Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has slammed the conservative Order, Law and Justice party (RZS) for trying to make a conflict between the GERB government and President Georgi Parvanov.

Borisov was reacting to the Bulgaria Parliament rejecting late Wednesday the proposal of the conservative Order, Law and Justice party (RZS) to reduce the Presidential institution’s budget by BGN 1 M. The RZS MPs left the budget debate in protest. He said “for small parties such as RZS it is very easy to make speeches in parliament and then go home to eat breakfast. However, Ministers are working every day with the President.”

Borisov, however, admitted that there is a conflict between him and Parvanov "on matters of principle”, but he added that the institutions will work together.

Borisov and Parvanov have been at loggerheads since the new center-right GERB government came to power but they have recently been trying to mend some bridges.

However President Parvanov, did accuse Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, of lying recently about the November case in which the Presidency bank account suddenly turned out to be empty.
