The Bulgarian petrol company Insa Oil has announced it was going to sue the head of the Customs Agency, Gen. Vanyo Tanov.

According to the manager of Insa Oil, Georgi Samuilov, with his actions, Tanov has caused losses of BGN 600 000 to the company in one month.

The company announcement comes a day after Tanov accused Insa Oil of failing to pay BGN 59 M it owed to the state.

Samuilov has stated that Tanov had broken the law by making public information which was a tax and official secret. In addition, he disclosed data from an audit which is supposed to be completed at the end of the year.

Insa Oil believes that the Customs Agency head is trying to “ruin the company” but their manager has not specified what Tanov’s reasons for that might be, BGNES reported.

Samuilov has pointed out that the company had been selling oil to the Interior Ministry, the Bulgarian State Railways BDZ, a number of possibilities, and that even had a contract for delivering gas to the Customs Agency.
