The leader of the nationalist, far-right “Ataka” party, Volen Siderov, announced that the “black book” of the notorious "Krasio from Pleven” contains over 1 000 names of magistrates and high-ranking politicians.

Krasimir Georgiev aka “Krasio from Pleven” is an individual who, allegedly, offered magistrates to secure their appointment to high ranking positions through the vote of the VSS in exchange for EUR 200 000 in cash.

According to Siderov, the most names are affiliated with the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) party, to include Kasim Dal, Nesrin Uzun, Lyudmil Georgiev, Korman Ismailov, Lyutvi Mestan.

Names of members the other major opposition formation – the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) include former Interior Minister, Rumen Petkov, the BSP spokesperson, Kornelia Ninova, Boyko Radoev, advisor to the President, Georgi Parvanov, as well as Stoyan Prodanov and Radoslav Ilievski.

Former Finance Minister, Milen Velchev, Krasimir Katev, Lyubka Kachakova, Kamelia Kasabova, all from the party of former Tsar and Prime Minister, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, National Movement for Stability and Prosperity (NMSP), are also included in Krasio's contact list, according to Siderov. NMSP was part of the previous cabinet of the so-called three-party Coalition, but failed to win any seats during the July 2009 parliamentary elections.

Kornelia Ninova, from BSP, declared Wednesday she did not know Krasio and her name was definitely not in his list. Just days ago, Rumen Petkov said he was “surprised and troubled” that his name has not yet come up as one of Krasio's contacts, adding he knew many people and “did not see any crime in answering the phone.”

Milen Velchev admits knowing Krasio from 4 years back, when the shady businessman participated in his election campaign in the northern city of Pleven, but denies being aware of Krasio's dealings with magistrates and prosecutors.

18 Bulgarian magistrates face legal charges over their contacts with the shady businessman while it was reveled Wednesday that in addition to prosecutors and judges four Bulgarian Members of the Parliament have been in touch with him.

In addition to the magistrates, it was revealed last week that 4 former and current Members of the Parliament also had contacts with Krasio.
