Bulgaria Socialist Party leader and former PM, Sergey Stanishev, has written an article entitled "No more independence ... there is only Boyko", the BSP press center reported Saturday.

The article is highly critical of PM Boyko Borisov and the new center-right GERB government’s first 100 days in power and Stanishev also defends his own record as PM: “Boyko Borisov may be able to declare that I am a thief... I may have made mistakes but I am not a thief! And everyone knows it.”

Stanishev’s article is based upon a parliamentary session last week in which Borisov accused the former Stanishev led government of wasting BGN 150 894 from the campaign "100 years Independence" after unused promotional materials costing that much were found in the basement of the Council of Ministers.

Stanishev says; “This is a new policy of the new government - stories, tales, helplessness, ignorance, and charges no thought about values, truth, and especially the state, its history and citizens,"

He concluded; "The big problem however is different. The problem is that for Boyko Borisov, and probably many other Bulgarians, Independence Day is just another day off. 100 years - big deal!”
