Jason Rodriguez, a 40-year-old man, has been detained after a shooting spree in which he killed one person and wounded five in Orlando, Florida, on Friday.

The gunman is reported to have been fired from an engineering firm in Orlando 2 years ago. On Friday, he returned to the same office shooting six people, The Washington Post reported.

Rodriguez worked for Reynolds Smith & Hills, an architectural engineering firm, located at the eight floor of the Legion's Place building, where the shooting took place.

"They left me to rot,'' he told TV reporters after he was arrested, The Orlando Sentinel reported.

The incident in Orlando, Florida, has happened just a day after the shootout at the Fort Hood Military Base in Texas, where a military psychiatrist shot 12 people before he was gunned down.
