Bulgaria has undertaken the “necessary steps” to notify its partners in NATO and the EU regarding the leakage of information from the National State Security Agency (DANS).

The Chairman of the State Commission on Information Security, Tsveta Markova, informed that all Bulgaria’s EU and NATO partners have been informed about the information leakage, Bulgarian National Radio reported.

Markova commented that the published secret information on the Internet did not in any way endanger either national interests or the commitments of Bulgaria to NATO.

She concluded; "From what came out, at least in those 26 pages that are published, there is no information of a nature to threaten national sovereignty."
