As Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Sergey Stanishev, never concealed or illegally removed any information and reports of the State Agency for National Security (DANS).

The statement is made in a media press release distributed Saturday by the press office of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), whose leader is Sergey Stanishev.

Stanishev says he hopes that together with Bulgaria’s now Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, they can undertake the necessary action to clarify all doubts and suspicions about real or made up reports. The Socialist leader points out the more and more frequents cases of “playing with classified information,” which triggers “unnecessary hysteria among the public,” adding the so-called DANS report about corruption of ministers of the previous cabinet ended just being a regular DANS account for their work.

Earlier Saturday, during a briefing, PM Boyko Borisov, accused his predecessor of illegally removing a 2008 DANS report from the Council of Ministers building in order to warn people, who were mentioned inside for their involvement in corruption practices.
