A series of attacks by gunmen on security forces in Pakistan have killed at least 37 people, officials say.

In Lahore, militants attacked offices of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), as well as two police training centres. At least 26 people died, the BBC reported.

In the north-western town of Kohat, a suicide bomber rammed his car into a police station, killing 11 people.

More than 100 people have been killed in an upsurge of violence across Pakistan in the past two weeks.

Lahore, Pakistan's second-largest city, was long spared the brunt of Pakistan's unrest, but there have been a number of attacks in the city since the start of the year.
