The Romanian center-right cabinet of Emil Boc was ousted Tuesday after the Parliament approved the no-confidence vote filed by the opposition.

The news was reported Tuesday afternoon by the Bulgarian information agency BGNES.

The ousting comes less than a month before the presidential elections in the country scheduled for November 22.

On October 6, the main opposition National Liberal Party (PNL) and the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians (UDMR) filed a vote of no-confidence against the cabinet.

The ousting became possible after the members of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) left the ruling coalition on October 1 over the dismissal of Interior Minister Dan Nica. Their duties were assumed by other ministers from Prime Minister Emil Boc's Liberal Democrats (PDL).

The opposition accuses Boc's cabinet of dragging the country into a triple crisis - economic, moral, and social.

258 Members of the Romanian Parliament voted for the no-confidence vote and 176 were against. The PDL has only 170 seats. This ousting is a first in Romanian political history after 1990.
