The amount of unpaid salaries by Bulgarian employers has increased to BGN 8,8 M, reports showed.

The Executive Agency General Labor Inspectorate has reached this number after conducting numerous check-ups, the Agency's Director, Rumyana Mihaylova said Monday.

However, during the last ween over BGN 2 M of salaries were paid, the Labor Inspectorate inspection showed.

The sectors in which there is the biggest percentage of unpaid salaries are construction, food production, production of clothes, and security services.

There are cases where employees have not been paid for more than six months, but in general the delay is between 2 and 4 months.
