BMW Sauber Formula 1 Driver Kubica Signs with Renault for 2010

Formula 1 team of Renault have confirmed that Robert Kubica will join them for 2010 season.

24-year-old Kubica will replace two-time Ferrari-bound world champion Fernando Alonso, the team said on Wednesday, as cited by the BBC.

Kubica finished third in the 2008 drivers' championship but sits in 14th this season for struggling BMW Sauber, whose future next season is uncertain.

Romain Grosjean, who replaced Nelson Piquet Jr, is currently the team's second driver, though his own position has yet to be confirmed for next year.
