The Bulgarian conservative party “Order, Law, Justice” (RZS) has been invited to join the European Conservatives and Reformists party.
This has happened in Manchester, UK, during the visit of the RZS Chair, MP Yane Yanev, and his deputy, Dimitar Abadzhiev, where the two are attending the regular annual conference of the UK Conservative Party.
The UK Shadow Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has invited RZS to join the emerging European Conservatives and Reformists Party, which will be the only right-wing alternative of the European People’s Party in the European Parliament.
Frank Barret, Secretary of the ECR Group in the European Parliament, has formally presented Yanev with membership documentation for RZS. Even thought the RZS has no MEPs, it is the only Bulgarian political party invited to join the new formation.
On October 13, 2009, Yanev and Abadzhiev, will take part in the founding meeting of the ECR Party in Brussels.
