Bulgaria’s President, Georgi Parvanov, has congratulated his Irish counterpart, President Mary McAleese, on the affirmative vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum.
Parvanov praises McAleese for her personal commitment and contribution to persuading the Irish voters to support the Treaty.
He has also declared that the coming into force of the Lisbon Treaty would help countries like Bulgaria and Ireland to be more efficient EU members.
