In relation to an interview earlier aired on Bulgarian TV with Serbian drug lord, Budimir Kujovic, the Bulgarian Justice Ministry has stated that it has launched a full 20 day investigation.

When asked if it was true he gave money to former Interior Minister, Rumen Petkov, and former Interior Ministry Secretary, Valentin Petrov, the drug lord said he was standing firmly behind his words.

Petkov reacted to the interview by saying; “it must become clear whether Kujovic was removed from prison to talk to the national state security agency DANS and the Interior Ministry and who authorized this.” He added that he knows who the people are behind the Serb’s allegations, Darik Radio reported.

Petkov denied that people close to Kujovic have tried to contact him or former Interior Ministry Secretary, Valentin Petrov.
