The Bulgarian police have arrested a person who is charged with the hoax bomb threats against the five-star hotel Kempinski-Zografski.

The Kempinski-Zografski received two bomb threats over the phone within 24 hours – one Tuesday and another one Wednesday night, and its guests had to be evacuated as the police searched the building finding no trace of explosives.

The news about the arrest have been announced by the Secretary-General of the Interior Ministry, Kalin Georgiev, who also said a second man was wanted for the same crime.

Georgiev stressed that the two suspects were not fully aware of what they had committed but he did not specify whether they were mentally unstable. One of the two men has actually been sentenced for making hoax phone threats.
