Bulgaria Police Arrest Two for Trafficking Women to Switzerland

Bulgarian police have arrested two men for trafficking young women to Switzerland to become prostitutes.

The two men, aged 22 and 26, were arrested in a special operation in Kazanluk. In the course of a three-month investigation it was found that from February to September, they were recruiting young women for prostitutes in Switzerland.

At the end of September at the home of the 22-year-old man were found and seized several SIM cards and mobile phones, details from wire transfers of currency and about 10 grams of cannabis. The men are currently being questioned.

The local Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a pre-trial case using details from the police investigation that is still ongoing in the area.
