65th International Technology Fair Opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv

Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, opens Monday the 65th edition of the International Technology Fair in the city of Plovdiv.

The Fair will close on October 3 and includes 1 985 companies from 44 countries from around the globe. 787 of them are Bulgarian and 1 198 are from abroad.

The participants will put on display the newest goods, services and technologies in the construction, energy, environment preservation sectors, machines and equipment production, transportation and automobile services industries, information technologies, water management, chemical production.

It is anticipated that 100 000 people will visit the Fair.

Hungary is the country partner of Bulgaria for the anniversary edition.

After London, Plovdiv will become the second only city in the world where the new modification of the famous Hungarian Rubik Cube will be on display - now in the shape of a sphere.

The Hungarian Economy Minister, Istvan Varga, will attend the official opening ceremony as well and will later meet his Bulgarian counterpart, Traicho Traikov.

The Fair also boasts a car show with 20 automobile manufacturers presenting their production. One lucky visitor will win a new car at the October 3 drawing.
