Bulgaria Third Party Car Insurance to Reach EUR 300

The price of the Bulgarian drivers third party car insurance may increase to up to EUR 300 a year.

This has been announced by the chair of the Bulgarian Insurers Association (BIA), Orlin Penev, as cited by Darik Radio.

The desired price is more than three time more expensive than the one at the moment - between BGN 170 and BGN 280 a year.

In other European Union member countries, where Bulgarian insurances are in force, the third party car insurance costs EUR 300-400. However, in Western Europe the compensations are much higher and in some countries there are no limits.

Through a signed Bulgarian third party car insurance, compensations are being paid everywhere in the EU. Currently, this kind of insurance is causing the insurance companies big losses.
