Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, has denied the accusations that the new government has been conducting a loyalty purge in the State Forestry Agency.
The accusations have come from the MP of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Meglena Plugchieva during the Friday's session of the Parliament.
In Djankov's words, in the last two month, the contracts of three of the agency's directors have been suspended. The reasons for that were the poor results of their work. Check-ups showed failure to perform their obligations, and in some cases law violations.
Djankov also presented data about the ruling of the previous three-way coalition government. It released 133 employees of the Forestry Agency, 23 of which were heads of regional directorates. 93 directors of state forestry boards were released.
