The former Bulgarian policeman who shot dead on Sunday after road rage fight has been charged with murder as a result of severe provocation.

This has been announced Monday by the Burgas Regional Prosecutor, Zhanet Krasimirova, Darik Radio reported.

If found guilty, 39-year old former police employee, Petko Lisichkov, can receive a up to five year behind bars sentence.

Road rage over taking the right of way was the reason for the shooting, Darik radio reported.

Four individuals traveling in a car stopped and surrounded a man on a motorbike, after the latter failed to yield the right of way. The biker became terrified, took out a gun he legally owned, and shot one of the four people.
