Bulgaria Boasts National Fashion Academy

The National Fashion Academy of the Republic of Bulgaria (NMARB) was found Sunday as part of the European and World Fashion Academies.

Galina Arsova was elected Chair of NMARB.

NMARB is also part of the National Fashion Chamber and includes representatives of the fashion business from the 28 administrative regions of Bulgaria, lead by regional chairs. The NMARB has a 3-member managing board with representatives from Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.

The NMARB members will be selected by the regional chairs. The eight members include representatives of different fashion sectors - a designer, a supermodel, a fashion photographer, a stylists, accessories designer, make-up artist, representative of the media and of the artistic community.

Nadia Valeva, Chair of the National Fashion Chamber announced that the NMARB main's goal is to introduce rules of who can be nominated to represent Bulgaria, to receive local and international awards and ways for designers to obtain recognition.

NMARB is going to become the official representative for Bulgaria of the World Fashion Association and the World Fashion Awards.
