The Bulgarian Government has presented to the Prosecution in the last fifty days over 200 files with alleged corruption cases.

This has been announced Thursday by the Bulgarian Minister of Regional Development, Rosen Plevneliev, during a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria.

In Plevneliev's words, the new government has already started to fulfill its promises, and gave as an example the accelerated return of value added tax (VAT).

"In a month and a half we have managed to return to the business BGN 720 M, and not for six months as the previous government used to do", the Regional Minister said.

Nine ministries have already checked all the contract of the previous ruling coalition, and it has turned out that the majority of them are overpriced.

He added that the Regional Ministry would launch a register of all the contracts it had signed, and everybody will be able to check them on the Internet.
