Bulgaria, most likely, will have to refund the European Union with EUR 32 M for 10 road projects from the PHARE program.

The information was revealed Friday by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Lilyana Pavlova.

Pavlova said that most of the deadlines have expired and it would not be possible to ask for an extension at this points, but stressed that Bulgaria would not use the State budget to repay the EU.

In the mean time, the Minister of Regional Development, Rosen Plevneliev, informed that Bulgaria will apply for a EUR 1 B loan for different infrastructure projects.
