The Macedonian citizens, who have helped rescue Bulgarian tourists after the sinking of the ship "Ilinden" in the Ohrid Lake, will be awarded with State orders.

The Macedonians will receive the First Degree Order for Civil Merit, the cabinet's press center informed Tuesday.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, had officially approved the Monday proposal of the Minister without Portfolio for Bulgarians Abroad, Bozhidar Dimitrov.

The Bulgarian General Consulate in Skopje will prepare a list with the names of the Macedonians that are to receive the award.

On Saturday, 15 Bulgarians drowned in the Ohrid Lake after the ship "Ilinden" sunk underwater. 40 other Bulgarians survived the accident.
