The unprecedentedly high approval rates that the recently elected Prime Minister Boyko Borisov enjoys among Bulgarians continue to soar, a brand new survey shows.

Two months after the general elections in July support for the prime minister reached a whopping 75%, outrunning by 12% approval for former king Simeon Saxe-Coburg after his much expected and jubilant return to the country in 2001, according to a Mediana polling agency survey.

Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov ranks second in Bulgarians' sentiments after a record-high 34% increase in approval ratings for the last four months, going up as far as 53%.

Bulgaria's new Finance Minister Simeon Djankov, a World Bank economist, who is widely perceived as the busiest and most experienced member of the center-right cabinet, ranks third among the new ministers, collecting the support of 26% of the Bulgarians.

Even though his portfolio is just as loaded as that of the head of the finance department, the new Economy, Energy and Tourism minister Traicho Traikov is highly unpopular and comes in at the bottom of the ranking with a scare 9% of approval.
