The Democrats for Strong Bulgaria party, which part of the right-wing Blue Coalition, supporting the Bulgarian cabinet of the GERB party, has demanded a 4-year governance program.

This was announced Tuesday by the DSB leader, Ivan Kostov, who made it clear his party would insist on PM Boyko Borisov's GERB issuing such a program by the end of September so that "the people can know what to expect from the government."

"The revelations of previous violations made by the GERB Ministers start slipping away, they do not focus the public attention on the gist of the problems of the country. These are obvious things," Kostov declared.

He stressed the Blue Coalition would insist that GERB draft a report on the condition of Bulgaria's national security, and another report on the health of the Bulgarian population.

"We are also interested in the issue of the estates that were restored to the former monarch, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, and about the decision the new government is going to make about them," the Blue leader said.

Kostov declared his party's readiness to be in charge of a temporary parliament committee to investigate the irregularities during Bulgaria's recent elections, and to focus on their roots.

Based on a potential detailed analysis of those, the Blue Coalition is going to propose a package of new electoral legislation for all types of elections. The DSB believe this should be done during the first year of the term of the present government.

Borisov's GERB has 116 MPs in the 240-seat Parliament; the GERB cabinet is supposed by the nationalist Ataka party with 21 MPs, the conservative RZS with 10 MPs, and the rightist Blue Coalition with 15 MPs.
