Bulgaria's former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, declared Sunday that the government of the GERB party had no clear vision for the country.

"We are yet to see something from the new government. So far there has only been talking about the previous government. The GERB cabinet has no plan for the governance of Bulgaria," the Socialist Party leader said as cited by Darik Radio.

He also claimed that the new government was going to stop the growth of salaries and pensions, and would reduce the budget for education by BGN 40 M.

Stanishev made this statement at a meeting of about 2 000 socialists in Zhabokrek in Southwest Bulgaria where they celebrated the 65 year since the Battle at Zhabokrek in which communist guerrillas fought the troops of the Kingdom of Bulgaria in August 1944, some three weeks before the country was invaded by the Red Army of the USSR on September 8-9, 1944.
