The 17-year-old Vietnamese, Chan Kuok, who is suspect for the beating of Bulgarian journalist, Ognyan Boyadzhiev, was released from the arrest Thursday by the Sofia Appellate Court.

The Court's ruling is based on the fact that Kuok is under 18 years of age, and that he is not likely to commit another crime.

Kuok is suspect for the attack on Bulgarian journalist, Ognyan Boyadzhiev, the Editor-in-Chief of europe.bg, which happened on August 8 in Boyadzhiev's home in Sofia.

The police have concluded that the attack on the journalist had nothing to do with his work, and was the result of a robbery. The investigation of the case is under way.
