The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any official information about the Bulgarian engineer allegedly killed in the Dominican Republic.
The lack of information can be explained by the fact that Bulgaria does not have a diplomatic representation in the Caribbean republic, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, Dragovest Goranov, said Sunday.
Spanish media announced that a Bulgarian engineer had been killed in Dominican Republic Capital Santo Domingo.
In Goranov's words, Bulgaria will try to contact Dominican officials through our missions in Mexico and Cuba, in order some light to be thrown on the case.
Ten people have been questioned by the Dominican police on the case of the Bulgarian engineer Constantine Alexander, who was murdered in Bella Vista Mall last week, local Dominican media reported.
According to witnesses, the victim had been attacked by two unknown men, while drawing money from an ATM machine in the commercial center.
