Bulgaria Former PM Stanishev to Pay EUR 600 Rent for New Flat

Bulgaria's former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, is vacating his state-owned home in the Boyana Quarter in Sofia that he used during his term.

Stanishev told the Focus Agency that he was going to move to an apartment building, also in the Boyana Quarter, owned by an acquaintance of his.

The former Prime Minister has rented the apartment for six months, and will be paying a monthly rent of EUR 600 for the place.

Stanishev also revealed that he was paid BGN 20 000 with his last salary for all the paid leave that he did not use during his four years as Prime Minister.
