Greek Police Bust Bulgarian Trafficking Drugs from Bolivia

Рђ Bulgarian citizen is among five people who have been arrested after the Greek police captured a container with 447 kg of cocaine at the port of Piraeus near Athens.

The police have arrested two Greek women, one Greek man living in Belgium, one Greek customs officer, and the Bulgarian citizen in question, who was supposed to receive the cocaine shipment, BGNES reported citing the Greek authorities.The arrests were made in Athens and Thessaloniki.

The cocaine originated in Bolivia. It was discovered a month ago, after the Greek authorities were alerted about it by the US government.

This is the largest quantity of drugs ever captured in Greece. In addition to the cocaine, the Greek police also seized EUR 75 800, USD 3 214, and a luxury jeep. The Greek authorities believe that the cocaine was destined for Bulgaria.
