Pavlin Dimitrov Nominated as Bulgaria Deputy Interior Minister

The General Commissar of the Bulgaria Interior Ministry, Pavlin Dimitrov, has been nominated to become the Deputy Interior Minister.

Interior Minister and Deputy PM, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, announced the nomination Wednesday and PM Borisov is expected to officially appoint Dimitrov in the coming days.

Kalin Georgiev, who until now has been the Director of the Bulgarian criminal police, will take Dimitrov's place as General Commisar.

The Interior Minister also confirmed that a man has been arrested in relation to the brutal attack on journalist Ognyan Boyadzhiev.

Tsvetanov also informed that Lyubomir Mitov, the policeman wounded in a shoot out in Svoge in early July, died late Tuesday night in hospital.
