Subscribers of the electrical company CEZ in the Bulgarian capital Sofia and Western Bulgaria may pay their electricity bills one every three month.

The possibility of keeping the three months bills, and simply removing month payments, has been discussed between the head of State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DKEVR), Konstantin Shushulov, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Taycho Traykov, and representatives of the Czech company.

Despite the talks, DKEVR is still decidedly behind the restoration of the monthly bills, which has been appellate by CEZ for months, Shushulov said.

CEZ has showed readiness to use the three month bill the way it had been discussed. However, such a conclusion of the long lasting three months bills saga has not been yet discussed in DKEVR.

According to Shushulov, this may be inconvenient for some households, that are used to the one month bills.

Shushulov also announced that he was going to step down as the Chair of the State Regulator on September 10.

"I am leaving, this is enough, eight years are enough", he said.
