Bulgaria's Foreign Affairs Minister, Rumiana Jeleva, has stated that the government's top priority is to improve dialogue between Bulgaria and the EU.

In her first official engagement as Minister, Jeleva met with the Swedish Ambassador to Bulgaria, Paul Beijer, whose country is currently chairing the EU.

She said after the meeting that PM Boyko Borisov's first official visit to Brussels next month will help to improve the relationship between Bulgaria and the EU.

Beijer on his part stated that the Bulgarian government should investigate the possibility of having a person to constantly monitor the progress made by Bulgaria in implementing the recommendations of the recent EC report on the country.
