Bulgarian Emigrants in Spain Set to Return over Financial Crisis

The Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has announced that they expect the greatest number of Bulgarian emigrants to return from Spain over the global financial crisis.

Liliyana Stankova from the Migration department of the Ministry announced that a large number of the Bulgarians in Spain have been left without jobs because of the global financial crisis, Bulgarian National Radio reported.

55 000 Bulgarians are officially registered in the Spanish social system, with 9 800 of them receiving benefits from the Spanish government for being out of work.

Stankova concluded that she believes many of those returning will register straight away with the job centers around Bulgaria.
