Legendary USA'94 Bulgaria Football Team Wins Once again after 15 Years

The game was organized to mark the 15th year of the Bulgarian team winning the third place at the World Championship.

The legendary Bulgarian football team that won the bronze medals on the World Championship in the USA in 1994 recorded Friday one more victory.

The "golden generation", as they are usually called, triumphed over a combined team from the Bulgarian city of Sliven with 5:3.

The game was organized to mark the 15th year of the Bulgarian team winning the third place at the World Championship.

The game took place at the "Hadzhi Dimitar" stadium in Sliven, and the PM-to-be, Boyko Borisov, was among the visitors.

However, one of the biggest stars of the team, and of the Bulgarian football ever, Hristo Stoichkov, could not make it, because his schedule is filled with engagement with his new South African team.

In the beginning of the game, Trifon Ivanov, from the "golden generation" team scored an own goal, but soon Krasimir Balakov managed to equalize. Balakov scored once again after a penalty. Petar Mihtarski scored once, and Daniel Borimirov scored twice until the end of the game.
