The police arrested Thursday two individuals, allegedly, the perpetrators of the March 2008 kidnapping of businessman Stoyan Stoyanov

They are identified as Stoyan Kolev and Neno Stoyanov from Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Varna.

The two will be charged with kidnapping and extreme cruelty towards the victim. They are held behind bars for 72 hours pending the trail to rule on the Prosecutor's request for permanent detention.

The Regional Prosecutor in the other Black sea city - Burgas, Angel Angelov, said the detainees were accomplices and organizers of the abduction and have criminal records and jail verdicts. Six witnesses so far have testified, confirming their involvement in the crime.

Burgas businessman, owner of the "Granites" company, Stoyan Stoyanov, disappeared on March 6, 2008 after being abducted from an underground parking lot. His whereabouts remain unknown. The family says no one ever asked them for a ransom.

The main version, however, is that Stoyanov is dead. Unofficial information reveals he suffocated while transported by the abductors, who later set him on fire.

According to the Prosecutor, the crime has been perpetrated over business interest and involves representatives of a company competitor of "Granites". Angelov said the person, who ordered the kidnapping has been identified, but declined to give more details in order to not jeopardize the investigation.
