The War Crimes Court in Belgrade sentenced Thursday four Serbs to a total of 55 years of imprisonment.

The four men were part of the Scorpions paramilitary formation, which worked as part of the Serbian police in Kosovo in 1999, the Darik Radio correspondent in Belgrade reported.

As a result, 14 women and children were killed, and 5 children were wounded. The children who survived witnessed in the trail against the four paramilitary troopers. At the time of the slaughter, the youngest kid was nine years old, and the oldest - fourteen years old.

Zelko Dukic, Dragan Medic, and Dragan Borojevic are each sentenced to 20 years in prison, and Miodrag Solaja to 15 years. The four men were arrested in the town of Sremska Mitrovica in 2007. Their trial began in 2008.
